Tipperary’s Bord na nÓg Story

This book tells the story of the efforts to organise underage games in the county from the first attempts in 1929 up to 1991.

The book tells the story of the efforts of a number of far-sighted individuals to organise games for underage boys, initially in schools and later in the parishes.

It shows the spred of the games, the expansion of the number of competitions from very few in the early stages to a packed calendar of games organised on an age basis, with the gradual extension of competition from within the county to inter-county as well.

There is an extensive list of results at the end of the book, as well as profiles of officials who contributed significantly to the organisation and spread of underage games.
